Expunge is a concentrated (3000 ppm), ready-to-use chlorine dioxide aqueous solution. Expunge obviates on-site production and simplifies any chlorine dioxide application. Expunge is shelf-stable at room temperature (75F) for up to nine months. It requires no on-site chemical mixing, and can be applied by means of a simple chemical metering pump. Expunge is pure chlorine dioxide gas dissolved in water.

RED MEAT TREATMENT: Chlorine Dioxide is approved under the FSIS Directive 7120.1 “SAFE AND SUITABLE INGREDIENTS USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF MEAT, POULTRY, AND EGG PRODUCTS”. Expunge can be used as an antimicrobial treatment on red meat, red meat parts and organs; processed, comminuted, or formed meat food products. SANITIZING SOLUTION FOR FOOD CONTACT SURFACES: Prior to sanitization, remove all gross food particles and soil by use of a pre-flush, pre-scrape or pre-soak treatment. Prepare a 50 ppm solution of Expunge by using a dilution ratio of 60:1. Using a commercial sprayer, saturate all surfaces with the diluted Expunge. Allow surfaces to remain wet for at least 1 minute. The diluted Expunge may be irritating if inhaled. SANITIZING SOLUTION FOR NON-FOOD CONTACT SURFACES: Prior to sanitization, remove all gross food particles and soil. Prepare a 500 ppm solution of Expunge by using a dilution ratio of 6:1. Using a commercial sprayer, saturate all surfaces with the diluted Expunge. Allow surfaces to remain wet for at least 1 minute. The diluted Expunge may be irritating if inhaled.
